My name is Gift Wagbara,I am from Obio/Akpor local Government in Rivers State and I live and reside in Port-Harcourt. I was born in February 13th 1989.
I attended Aladumo group of schools and was later switched to Staff Nursery and Primary school (S.N.A.P.S) in port harcourt and then attended Federal Government College Port-Harcourt.
I am a graduate of the University of Port-Harcourt with a BSc in Geology.
During my primary education, I was attracted to Art and creativity I made a lot of drawings and paintings both animate and inanimate which made my teachers enroll me and few of my class mates who were also great fine artists to make drawings from our favorite Book of Bible story on different colours of cardboard papers for classroom beautification, also and with my little knowledge on free hand sketches and comic drawing my Mum turned me into her personal designer funny right haha :D She calls me up whenever there’s a news caster with a crazy attire and she wanted to present that exact design to her tailors I probably didn’t know I was good enough and didn’t see myself as a designer just wanted to live up to her expectations or will I say my parents expectations of becoming a medical doctor.
I grew up having a lot of interest in fashion apparels and clothing which made me venture into buying and selling outfits while In the university always enjoyed trying out new outfits and diverse outfits in different cultures and backgrounds. I worked as a marketer for Drik fashion which gave me a great platform to be involved in proper fashion activities and exposed me to more ideas and knowledge on how to be a creative designer in a fast evolving world.
Fashion speaks a lot of language - fashion is diverse - fashion makes it easy for each of us as humans to be able to express ourselves by joining tinny pieces of fabrics into simply state and bringing out into reality what goes through inside our minds. I am a creative fashion designer and founder of DBA classics and I believe I can communicate to the world at large using diverse fashion languages.
